Fire Buffs promote the general welfare of the fire and rescue service and protect its heritage and history. Famous Fire Buffs through the years include Edward VII, who maintained a kit at a London fire station.

BOLTON CLUB - 1961


Fire broke out at the Top Storey Club in Bolton, Lancashire, on May 1, 1961, killing 19 people. Five of the victims died attempting to jump from the club into a canal.
